VIKING BRACTEATE

.Inspired by a real Scandinavian find - the bracteate from Vadstena. 

In Scandinavia, these amulets had a protective and a magical function. They were widely used between the 5th and the 7th century. The offered pendant is manufactured according the the actual findings. This is an important landmark of the Elder Futhark rune - bracteate of Vadstena. The original has horse on it, running from right to left, and he stylized rider (rather his head alone) and above, on the left side is a flying bird (Huginn, Muninn ...), all that within the rune belt. 

  • Pendant has 3 cm in diameter.
